NEW YORK -- On Dec. 10, 2004, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AAA' financial strength rating and stable outlook to AIG Europe (Netherlands) N.V. The rating is based on explicit support in the form of a guaranty from American Home Assurance Co., an insurance company that is a wholly owned subsidiary of American International Group Inc. (NYSE:AIG; 'AAA' financial strength rating).
