The state Commission on Judicial Conduct was asked yesterday to reprimand state Supreme Court Justice Richard Sanders, who is charged with violating judges' ethical rules by talking last year with residents at a state facility for sexually violent predators.
Attorney Kate Pflaumer, who prosecuted the charges against Sanders in a hearing this week, said Sanders ignored judges' obligation "not to gather outside facts or outside opinions about cases that come before them or could come before them."
