GEORGE Michael has launched a blistering attack on Sir Elton John for criticising his private life and career.
And he has revealed the stars never became close pals because he feared Sir Elton's gossip-hungry friends would betray his privacy.
George, who admitted the pair have rarely spoken to each other in the last decade, deepened the rift by accusing Elton of cashing in by playing the same old songs at his concerts.
