Dec. 15--Marian Roznowski of Beechview went to the Animal Rescue League in Larimer in early August to look for a dog.
She found "a sweet Pit Bull mix" just over 2 years old who "won my heart." She made arrangements to adopt Sadie, nee Sherry, the next day.
"At no time while I was meeting the dog, filling out the adoption forms or making arrangements to take her home with me did anyone at the shelter discuss the Pets for the Elderly Program," said Roznowski, 61, an administrative assistant.
