The next time the antigay group Focus on the Family comes to the Tampa, Fla., area with its "ex-gay" conference, local bus riders will know about it. A settlement reached October 12 in a federal lawsuit the group had filed against the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority will allow Focus on the Family to post ads in bus shelters for its Love Won Out seminar, which promotes the theory that homosexuality is "curable."
