Lazaro de Mello Brandao
Lazaro de Mello Brandao has been working for Brazilian bank Bradesco for more than 60 years. Today, he is the president of the board of directors of the bank, the largest in Brazil. But he has reason to be proud of another top job: He is president of the Fundacao Bradesco, which invests in Brazilian education. With more than 100,000 students in 40 schools in 26 Brazilian states, Fundacao Bradesco has spent US$210 million to teach children and adults everything from basic education to high-tech professional skills.
