Atmospheric ammonia in the broiler house reduces bird performance, increases susceptibility to disease and affects mortality. Many factors influence the level of atmospheric ammonia in the broiler house, including broiler house management, season of the year, humidity, stocking density, litter conditions, broiler house temperature and ventilation rate.
