2004 DEC 20 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Researchers have investigated the usefulness of the peak velocity difference by tissue Doppler imaging technique as an effective predictor of response to cardiac resynchronization therapy.
According to recent research published in the American Journal of Cardiology, "Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) improves symptoms and functional status in heart failure patients; however, current selection criteria need improvement."
