Dec. 17--CORRALES, N.M. -- Bernalillo County voters have three days to decide whether Corrales should continue to straddle two counties or unite under one.
The southern portion of the village sits in Bernalillo County, while the majority of Corrales is in Sandoval County.
Last year, Corrales Mayor Gary Kanin started an effort to have the Bernalillo County portion annexed into Sandoval County. The issue must be decided by a referendum of Bernalillo County voters. Sandoval County voters do not have a say in the annexation.
