Dec. 18--The Safety Harbor Hotel & Spa, one of the Tampa Bay area's oldest if not best known resorts, has been sold to a Florida investment group, which plans to upgrade the establishment and keep it running.
"We will continue to operate and there will be more improvements to the facilities, " said Philip Deblinger, general manager of Safety Harbor Resort and Spa.
He declined to disclose terms of the deal or the identity of the investment group.
