DALLAS _ At the close of his predraft workout at Cal in 2003, quarterback Kyle Boller knelt at the 50-yard line and fired a football through the uprights. He was showing off his arm that day. But he hasn't showed off his arm much this season.
Boller has tossed only 11 touchdown passes for the Baltimore Ravens and almost half of them (five) have been for nine yards or fewer. His only long TD was a 57-yarder to wide receiver Randy Hymes against Kansas City on a flea-flicker in the fourth game of the season.
Ironically, Peyton Manning and Boller are both averaging 18.1 yards per touchdown pass. Except that Manning has thrown a ...
