Late in fall, I got bites from something that left a welt and itched exactly like a mosquito bite. My husband and son weren't bothered. I read about something called "itch mites." Do we have these mites in Minnesota?
If not, what might be causing this? We do have pets but have never had a flea problem.
Now that it's cold, mosquitoes, deer flies, black flies and other biting outdoor insects are no longer active, said Jeff Hahn, extension entomologist at the University of Minnesota.
