A 10,000 metric ton capacity increase in its Superabsorbent Materials business is the goal of Hoechst Celanese Specialty Chemicals Group, Charlotte, NC. A recent announcement detailed plans for construction of a fifth production line at the Portsmouth, VA, facility. The addition of the 1 0,000 metric tons will bring the company's total superabsorbent materials capacity to 50,000 metric tons per year.
