Dec. 22--Mida Assets Plc, a consumer finance company, plans to issue bonds worth up to 1.5 billion baht next year.

President Kamol Eawsirivigoon said the board had approved the bond issue, aimed at financing business expansion and funding its subsidiary, Mida Leasing.

The bonds will have a maturity of no longer than five years and will be offered to domestic and international investors.

The bond yields and other details are yet to be determined by the board. The proposal will be put to an extraordinary shareholders' meeting on Jan 19, for which the share register will close on Jan 4.
