Campaign manager for Sen.-elect John Thune, R-S.D. Wadhams orchestrated Thune's defeat of Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle. Previously he worked for former U.S. Sen. Bill Armstrong. R-Colo., and managed campaigns for various candidates in that state, including Bill Owens for governor in 1998 Colorado U.S. Sen. Wayne Allard's campaign for re-election in 2002. Wadhams was born and raised in rural southeastern Colorado. He graduated from the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo with a degree in political science. He was married for 19 years to Susan Wadhams, who passed away in 2001. He has two stepchildren and four grandchildren.
