TOKYO, Dec 24 Asia Pulse - Toyo Seikan Kaisha Ltd. (TSE:5901) will increase production of beverage-use aluminum cans that do not require rinsing and cooling water or oil in the manufacturing process.
The company will invest 2.4 billion yen and install new production equipment at a Yokohama plant by the end of March 2005. With the additional equipment, it will raise output of the aluminum cans by 50 per cent to an annual volume of about 1.5 billion units.
