FORT WORTH, Texas _ Cold weather and two schools with no ties to the Dallas-Fort Worth area were contributing factors for poor attendance in Thursday night's second annual PlainsCapital Fort Worth Bowl at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
The attendance for the game between Cincinnati and Marshall on TCU's campus was 13,204.
Fort Worth Bowl officials said 27,902 tickets were distributed. Bowl executive director Tom Starr said each school was given 10,000 tickets.
The game-time temperature was 28 degrees with the wind coming from the north at 13 mph. The wind chill factor was 17 degrees.
