Adrian Beltre delivered with the bases loaded Friday night - on offense and defense.
The Mariners third baseman delivered both the hit of the game and the defensive play of the game at Safeco Field, accounting for three runs scored and an unknown number saved as Seattle put to rest a seven-game losing streak with a much-needed 7-1 victory over Oakland.
Felix Hernandez allowed only one run, on a Nick Swisher home run in the first inning, and Seattle kept pace with American League West leader Los Angeles and wild-card leader Cleveland, both of which won to maintain four-game leads over the Mariners.
