DALLAS _ There are a lot trends Don Nelson doesn't like about the Mavericks, and new ones keep popping up.
The latest is the theory that as Dirk Nowitzki goes, so go the Mavericks.
"I don't want to have to have 36 by Nowitzki to win," Nelson said. "If that's what we have to do to win games, we're going to be in trouble, because the good teams are going to take Nowitzki out of the game."
Nowitzki led the league in scoring for a brief spell before slipping to third behind Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant. He had seven consecutive games of 27 points or less and the Mavericks were 4-3.
