Dec. 28--A number of companies yesterday provided updates to the stock market and through other media on impact from Sunday's disaster on their businesses in the disaster-hit areas.
FStar Cruises, the region's largest cruise line, said it would divert its Phuket itinerary indefinitely "in the best interests of its passengers". Two Star Cruises ships that were scheduled to arrive in Phuket yesterday and today have been diverted to the Malaysian resort islands of Langkawi and Penang.
-- Siam City Bank said it was temporarily closing four branches and five foreign-exchange booths in Phuket and Phangnga. Branches on Karon and Patong beaches had been affected ...
