After logging in 12 years of experience throughout the clinical laboratory, I was a seriously bored medical technologist. Filling a newly created slot as head of the development lab within the laboratory of our large not-for-profit hospital turned my career around while helping the lab in a great many ways.
Tapping into my interest in instrumentation and teaching, my foresighted supervisor explained that I was to learn to operate new instruments and integrate them into our operations.
