A GMP inspection of Union Carbide, Hahnville, LA, resulted in no 483 being issued by investigators Verlinda Narcisse and Carmen Chan of the New Orleans District Office.
Union Carbide, a subsidiary of Dow Chemical, is an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturer of bulk Polethylene Glycols (PEGS), also known as CARBOWAX, which is used in granular and powdered form for use as bonding agents in pharmaceutical tableting operations, FDA noted. The product is shipped to customers throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
