COUNTRYSIDE: In a recent issue there were a couple of people asking for help and information--they couldn't find enough books or Internet info. The one about using a drop spindle especially caught my attention because having learned from someone else, I don't think you can learn to do it from a book. Here are some of my suggestions for resources.
Check the Local Black Powder or Medieval Society. Join or just volunteer with your local 4-H club to learn about animals. I volunteered with the Therapeutic Riding Association to learn about horses and tack. Find your local weavers and spinners guild. Go to the county fair.
