North Broward Hospital District and Nova Southeastern University unveiled plans to add a public teaching hospital to NSU's Davie campus. The $210 million, 150-bed facility is dubbed a "medical village" and will be adjacent to the university's Health Professions Division building. It will include research buildings and medical offices. The project is still in its formative stage but cleared a major hurdle when North Broward's directors authorized a letter of intent sent to Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration.
