Bank of America reported yesterday its customers spent $100 billion on their debit cards this year. Charlotte, NC-based BofA is the largest debit card issuer in the country with over 22 million cards. The financial institution claims that its cards account for 15% of debit cards issued in the U.S. In January 2004, BofA issued 18 million offline debit cards, giving it a 9% share of the market, according to the EFT Data Book.
