To paraphrase the father of modern nihilism, Sgt. Schultz, we know nothing.
We know nothing about the Bears. Or at least we don't know much more about them than we did at the beginning of the season. It would be incorrect to say that, Bear-wise, 2004 has been a complete waste. That would be to discount the iambic foot of punter Brad Maynard (one, two, three, kick). But it would be correct to say that competitive cucumber brining would have made for better viewing than the Bears' offense this season.
Is this team improving? Is there real hope for next season? Was this year just an unfortunate blip on the way to playoffs?
