The heated debate over market structure has spread to the cloistered corridors of academia. Close to two-dozen universities - one from as far away as French Canada - were represented last month at Baruch College's Equity Microstructure Seminar.
The event organizers included Baruch finance professor Robert Schwartz, whose latest book on market structure - co-authored with Reto Francioni - is reviewed in these pages.
