   SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HOME SALES REMAINED STABLE, 
 PRICES CONTINUED TO DECLINE 
RUNNING SPRINGS, Calif., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern California home sales remained stable but at low levels last month, while prices continued to decline, according to a real estate newsletter. 
A total of 12,838 homes were sold in Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside and San Bernardino counties last month. That was up 0.5 percent from 12,769 in August, but down 8.9 percent compared to 14,090 in September last year, according to the Southern California Real Estate Observer.
