In the plasticizer product series in China, the output of chlorinated paraffin holds the third place, after DOP (dioctyl phthalate) and DBP (dibutyl phthalate). Chlorinated paraffin production in China has undergone rapid development in the past dozen years. The capacity increased sharply to 300 000 t/a by the end of 2003 and the output reached 150 000 tons. China has already become the biggest chlorinated paraffin producer in the world.
