CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Boston College coach Tom O'Brien credited special teams coach Jerry Petercuskie for the idea of a fake field goal after Paul Peterson broke his left leg in the fourth quarter yesterday. Petercuskie said the credit belonged elsewhere.
"Ryan Day, our (graduate assistant), came to me and said, `How about a fake?' He deserves the credit," Petercuskie said after BC's 37-24 victory over North Carolina in the Continental Tire Bowl. "Of course, the redhead (O'Brien) has to buy everything."
