The Bears' defense has had two major problems this season.
One, an occasional inability to stop the run, they can do something about. The other, an impotent offense, they just have to live with.
In their last two games, the Bears have allowed an average of 214.5 rushing yards. In the three games prior to that, they permitted an average of 75 rushing yards.
The difference? Middle linebacker Brian Urlacher. He missed the last two games but was present for the previous three.
"He's able to make the defensive line right when we're wrong," defensive end Adewale Ogunleye said of Urlacher. ...
