A little more than a week ago, when the Bears were in the midst of a three-game winning streak and showing signs of having one of the league's dominant defenses, rookie defensive tackle Tommie Harris said he thought the Bears might have the best defensive line in the league.
The idea of such a development had to be as comforting to Bears fans as the sudden sighting of a reputable motel with vacancies is to a weary traveler.
