CD management, trade unions interrupt collective bargaining
Prague. January 4 INTERFAX EUROPE - The Czech national rail operator Ceske drahy (CD) has interrupted collective bargaining indefinitely after a Tuesday meeting with the trade unions, says CD spokesman Petr Stahlavsky.
In the absence of a collective agreement, CD has agreed to abide by the Labor Code.
As a result, most employees will lose their wage supplements, their working hours will be longer, and their holidays shorter.
According to CD trade union deputy chairman Petr Bazger, each CD employee is losing CZK 4,000 to CZK 8,000 per month as a result of the situation.
