The verdict in a recovery suit of Rs 16.9 million filed by a Pakistani company in the Supreme Court against a Russian consortium, raising the question whether the Russian government inherits former USSR's liabilities, is likely to be announced this week. Earlier, a full bench of the Supreme Court comprising Chief Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqui, Justice Javed Iqbal and Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar had reserved the verdict on December 9, after conclusion of hearing from both sides.
