Project HOPE Identifies Immediate and Long-Term Medical Needs of Tsunami Victims; $1.5 Million in Disaster Aid to be Airlifted From Dulles Airport Thursday Evening.

MILLWOOD, Va., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Pulmonary complications from water intake and crush injuries are among the most severe medical problems suffered by tsunami victims according to a major aid organization which is on the ground in Indonesia.

Project HOPE, the international nonprofit health education and humanitarian assistance organization based in Millwood, Va., says they have begun to identify the specific medical needs in many of the affected regions and have started to map out routes to ensure the supplies get to where they are needed most.
