WASHINGTON, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The Department of Homeland Security today announced the completion of the National Response Plan (NRP), the all- hazards strategy that establishes a unified and standardized approach to domestic disaster planning, preparedness, response and recovery activities. The American Red Cross was a key partner in the development of the NRP. The NRP establishes standardized training, organization, and communications procedures through the National Incident Management System (NIMS), and clearly identifies authority and leadership responsibilities.
