Jan. 6--NEW DELHI, India -- Expensive cancer drugs of multinational and domestic pharma companies may come under price controls. A committee reviewing the span of drug price control has roughly identified nine cancer drugs for the same.
Some of these drugs cost around Rs 10,000 for a one-gram injection. If implemented, companies such as Eli Lilly, Roche, Dr Reddy's, Zydus Cadila, Wockhardt, Dabur, Sun Pharma, VHB Lifesciences, Intas, Cytomed and Biological Evans would be affected.
Considering the scope for litigation, the government will finalise the list only after examining and possibly fine-tuning the criteria ...
