Over three quarters of small to medium sized businesses in the leisure industry are now at risk of court action under the Disability Discrimination Act, according to new research published by RNID.
NOP World Financial research, commissioned by RNID, and carried out weeks before the DDA deadline of 1st October, revealed that 87% of small to medium sized businesses in the leisure industry had not made any changes to enable deaf and hard of hearing people to access their products or services. This means thousands of businesses are at risk of court action under the new disability legislation.
