"Hi, Mom." Josh Marchetti came in from a neighbor's house and gave his mom a kiss.
"Eee-yoooo, you've got yucky breath," groaned Josh's mom. "When was the last time you brushed your teeth?"
"Couple of days."
"That's gross. Go brush."
Josh, now a ninth grader in Doylestown, Pa., remembers many times over the years when he and his mother had conversations like that one. Even now, he brushes when she tells him to but otherwise doesn't think much about it. "I just don't want to brush," he told Current Health 2, "because it's boring."
