Dear Editor: Any animal lover who would clone a cat or dog is either completely naive or totally selfish.
The pet cloning industry routinely conducts experiments on cats and dogs and is not regulated by the government or any authority requiring basic standards of animal care. Animal cloning results in many more animals dying than surviving, and meanwhile, shelters across our nation are overrun with cats and dogs, most of which will be euthanized.
