We have been Brahmsed.
It wasn't a verb before, but it is now. After a three-concert weekend series featuring the four symphonies and two overtures by Brahms, those who attended any or all of the programs in Bottcher Hall have surely been transformed.
The reasons are simple: Marin Alsop and the mighty Colorado Symphony carried the glorious sounds of the late-romantic master into our hearts and under our skins. Through her well-spoken introductions to those six masterpieces, Alsop brought the man to life - and through their playing, the CSO did the same to Brahms' music.
