CHARLESTON, S.C., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Citadel has been awarded $400,000 from the McCormick Tribune Foundation (MTF), one of the nation's largest charitable foundations. The school will also receive $40,000 annually from the foundation for two scholarships.
The grants are part of the foundation's 50th anniversary celebration and will be used for the renovation of the historic McCormick Beach House, which is used for the recreation of cadets, and to reestablish McCormick Scholarships for Illinois students to attend The Citadel.
