Jan. 10--Before he retires later this year, Troy Williamson has a lot he hopes to accomplish.
Williamson -- director of the EDA University Center at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin's Center for Energy and Economic Diversification -- says he will partially retire at the end of January.
In February, he'll embark on a "listening tour" of the region's rural on behalf of UTPB.
Williamson, 65, will meet with elected officials, civic and business leaders, economic development professionals and private citizens to determine how the university can better meet the needs of rural residents.
