CHICAGO _ Before Robin Wagner agreed to work with figure skater Sasha Cohen 13 months ago, the coach outlined what she expected of the enormously talented but painfully inconsistent skater.
Wagner, who coached Sarah Hughes to the 2002 Olympic gold medal, told Cohen she needed to improve all the technical elements of her skating and to expand her musical and artistic horizons. Wagner and Cohen shook hands on the idea that they were getting on the same page.
"In my mind, success for Sasha meant not second or third but being a champion," Wagner said.
