Delphi promotes O'Neal to president, COO
Delphi Corp. has named Rodney O'Neal president and COO, marking the first time in the company's five-year history that an executive other than Chairman and CEO J.T. Battenberg III has responsibility for all of the company's businesses.
O'Neal, 51, has day-to-day oversight of all of Delphi's operations, purchasing, sales and marketing. He also was named to the board of directors. He had been president of the dynamics, propulsion, thermal and interiors business sector. He joined General Motors Corp. in 1971 and moved to Delphi when it spun off from GM in 1999.
