Oswego County officials announced a low-cost energy plan Tuesday they hope will attract new businesses to the county and help those already here to expand.
The "Power for Progress" program allocates low-cost electrical energy to businesses that relocate to Oswego County or expand their operation here.
"The project has one goal: to create jobs in Oswego County," said Greg Osetek, vice chairman of the Oswego County Legislature. Only companies that use the savings to do so will qualify. "This is one of the most exciting and unique projects Oswego County has ever undertaken," he said.
