Jan. 13--BROWNSVILLE, Texas -- Gladys Porter Zoo officials are investigating the deaths of three female West African bushbuck antelope over the weekend.
The zoo, which has lost four gorillas and a rhinoceros to unnatural causes since 2001, ordered necropsies on the bodies but have not determined a cause of death.
"It is surprising that it happened to all three (antelope) at the same time," said zoo spokeswoman Cynthia Garza-Galvan. "We are trying to find the cause. We are not ruling anything out."
