$1 MILLION FLEET GIFT TO BENEFIT RHODE ISLAND'S CHILDREN
PROVIDENCE, R.I., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- In its largest gift ever made, The Fleet Charitable Trust today gave $1 million to the children of Rhode Island, it was announced by Terrence Murray, Fleet Financial Group chairman and chief executive officer.
Fleet's contributions of $500,000 for the New Children's Hospital and $500,000 for the Brown University School of Medicine will provide state-of-the-art emergency treatment to as many as 30,000 children annually, and will facilitate advanced neonatal and pediatric research.
