Jan. 13--Moves toward a full-scale realignment have been accelerating in the commodity futures trading industry, involving companies from other business fields.
The changes have been sparked by reforms to the commodity futures system, in which precious metals, petroleum products and other goods are traded, and by total liberalization of brokerage commissions late last year.
With trading becoming easier for individuals, the intensifying competition between futures brokerages likely will result in cuts to commissions charged to clients.
