BOVIS Lend Lease were last night appointed as the lead contractor to build Liverpool's Kings Dock development.
Their appointment to deliver the proposed concert arena and conference centre had been ``called in'' for scrutiny by councillors concerned that the deal contained no firm details about the overall project costs.
The majority of Liverpool's cabinet, including council leader Mike Storey, attended the regeneration committee - an indication of the importance attached to Kings after the collapse of the Fourth Grace.
